Spathiphyllum 'Sunshine Girl' is a compact Peace Lily cultivar admired for its lush, glossy green foliage and elegant white blooms. Like other members of the genus, its flowers consist of a white spathe surrounding a central cream-coloured spadix, with each bloom lasting for several weeks before gradually fading to green. The broad, gently arching leaves emerge from a central crown, creating a dense, fountain-like form, while new foliage and flowers are continuously produced from the base as the plant matures.

  • Habitat: Prefers moist warmth, avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 13°C.
  • Light: Bright, indirect light. East-facing window is ideal placement within the home.
  • Water: Bottom water when the top inch of soil has dried out, about once a week (less often in Winter). Prefers to be under-watered rather than over.
  • Soil: Use a rich, loose potting mix that drains well.
  • Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.
  • Toxic: Peace lilies are toxic to animals and humans, do not consume.
