Spathiphyllum 'Sensation', commonly known as the Giant Peace Lily, is the largest cultivated variety of peace lily, distinguished by its impressive size and bold, deeply ribbed foliage. Its broad, emerald green leaves feature pronounced pleating that catches the light, adding depth and texture to the plant's architectural form. Growing into a substantial clump that can reach up to 1.8 metres in height and spread, 'Sensation' is considerably larger than standard peace lily varieties. Mature plants may also produce the iconic white spathes surrounding a central spadix, the distinctive flowering structure characteristic of the aroid family.

  • Habitat: Prefers average house hold temperatures between 15 and 27 degrees with roughly 60% humidity.
  • Light: Medium, indirect light, can tolerate lower light levels.
  • Water: Ideal to keep evenly moist at all times. Leaves will droop if underwatered.
  • Soil: Use a combination of medium to high water retention soil and an airy, free draining mix.
  • Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.
