Schefflera 'Alpine', commonly known as the Umbrella Tree, is recognised for its elegant palmate foliage, with glossy leaflets radiating from a central point like the spokes of an umbrella. The evergreen leaves are held on upright, branching stems, creating a full, architectural form that becomes increasingly tree-like with age. New foliage emerges as tightly folded clusters before gradually expanding into the plant's characteristic umbrella-shaped leaves, giving it a dynamic appearance throughout the growing season.
 
  • Habitat: Can grow up to 2m tall. Requires pruning to maintain your preferred plant height.
  • Light: Position in a spot with medium to bright, indirect light. 
  • Water: Prefers moist, but not wet soil. Wait until the soil is dry before watering.
  • Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.
