Aglaonema 'Thai Snowflakes' is admired for its boldly variegated foliage, where creamy white speckles and splashes are scattered across deep green leaves in intricate, snow-like patterns. The amount of variegation varies from leaf to leaf, giving each plant a unique appearance as new foliage unfurls. Like other Aglaonema cultivars, it grows in a naturally upright, clumping form, with broad leaves that have evolved to capture filtered light beneath the tropical forest canopy.
Habitat: Happy in average household temperatures, keep out of draughts.
Light: Bright indirect light. Keep away from direct sunlight.
Water: Water when top inch or two of soil is dry. Be careful not to overwater, Agalonema prefers slightly moist soil but can suffer root rot if left in standing water.
Soil: Use a peat-based soil. Allow to drain. Yellowing leaves or soft stalks are a sign of overwatering.
Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.
Toxicity: Can cause irritation if eaten and the sap is a skin and eye irritant. Keep away from children and pets.
Please note: Variegated plants vary between and within crops. While we attempt to maintain growing conditions, no guarantees can be made around the volume of variegation per plant. The picture of this plant is indicative only, as we see with all plant species, every plant is unique.
