Tradescantia 'Tenderness' is a graceful trailing variety with softly variegated foliage in shades of green, cream, and blush pink. Its elongated leaves emerge along cascading stems, with the subtle colouring often becoming more pronounced as new growth matures. Naturally vigorous in habit, this variety forms a dense curtain of foliage, making it a beautiful example of the diverse foliage patterns found within the Tradescantia genus.

This plant has a provisional PVR pending.
  • Habitat: Ideal temperatures 18 - 30 degrees, out of draughts/cold breezes. For a more bushy plant, trim stems regularly.
  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Low light will dull variegation.
  • Water: Keep soil moist, not wet, watering when top two inches of soil have dried out.
  • Fertiliser: Can be used once a month during spring and summer.

The botanical name of this variety is Tradescantia cerinthoides, which is not prohibited unlike the fluminesis cultivars.
