Streptocarpus, commonly known as Cape Primrose, is admired for its rosettes of soft, velvety foliage and its remarkable flowering habit. Slender stems rise above the leaves, carrying trumpet-shaped blooms that appear in a wide range of colours and can flower repeatedly over many months. Native to the shaded forests and rocky slopes of southern Africa, Streptocarpus is prized for its ability to produce an abundance of flowers from a compact plant.
