Scindapsus pictus, commonly known as Satin Pothos, is a climbing and trailing vine recognised for its heart-shaped leaves with a soft, satin-like surface and silvery markings scattered across the foliage. The stems produce aerial roots along their length, allowing the plant to attach to supports and climb naturally. When grown vertically, the foliage can become more structured, while trailing stems create a cascading growth habit as the vines extend.

  • Habitat: To keep your plant looking full and bushy the occasional trim of the vine is required.
  • Light: Requires medium to bright, indirect light, to maintain the defined variegated swirls.
  • Water: Let soil dry completely during winter, but remain partially damp during summer/spring.
  • Soil: A well draining potting mix is recommended.
  • Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.

Please note: Variegated plants vary between and within crops. While we attempt to maintain growing conditions, no guarantees can be made around the volume of variegation per plant. The picture of this plant is indicative only, as we see with all plant species, every plant is unique.
