Calathea Makoyana 14cm Pot Plant

Calathea makoyana, commonly known as the Peacock Plant, is admired for its intricately patterned foliage, with soft green leaves decorated by dark green oval markings. The intricate design is echoed on the rich purple undersides, creating a striking contrast as the leaves move throughout the day. New leaves emerge tightly rolled before unfurling to reveal their distinctive feather-like patterning.

Habitat: Prefers to be kept in warmer temperatures. Avoid sudden temperature drops, and keep away from draughts.
Light: Bright, indirect light. Shield from direct sun.
Water: Water little and often with filtered, room-temperature water.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix to avoid root rot.
Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods..
