Begonia Black Forest 12cm Pot Plant

Begonia 'Black Forest' is a distinctive foliage variety, recognised for its deep, velvety leaves marked with contrasting silver spots and rich green tones. The leaves feature pronounced jagged edges, creating depth and variation across the foliage. Like many begonias, its appeal lies in the intricate patterns and leaf shape, with each leaf developing its own unique arrangement of markings as the plant matures.

Exclusive to us in New Zealand! This variety has a provisional Plant Variety Right (PVR) pending, meaning we hold the exclusive rights to grow it in NZ.

Habitat: Thrives in higher humidity and warmer household temperatures, avoid draughts or sudden temperature changes.
Light: Bright, indirect light.
Water: Keep steadily moist, but don't overwater.
Soil: Use peat-based soil. Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Allow to drain.
Toxic: Yes, should not be consumed by animals or humans.
Fertiliser: Will benefit from the application of a balanced plant fertiliser during peak growth periods.
