Alstroemeria
Van Lier Nurseries are now acting as agents for the breeding companies, Hilverda B. V. and Royal Van Zanten, for their Alstroemeria plants.
The plants come in 9cm pots costing NZ $20.00 plus gst (Hilverda B.V. varieties) and Euro 9,00 (Royal Van Zanten varieties). If there is a significant fluctuation in exchange rate, VLN reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly.
Included in this price is for a contract permitting the grower to grow to a maximum period of five years.
Both Hilverda B.V. and Royal Van Zanten now offer a three year royalty period. For this red
uced period the cost of the plant and royalty is NZ $16.70 plus gst and Euro 7.60 respectively.
For additional years the plants will be grown there is a surcharge of 1 Euro per plant per year.
Invoicing of plants: Hilverda plants the invoicing is from Van Lier Nurseries Ltd. A deposit of 50% is required on all imported Hilverda plants. If there is a large fluctuation in exchange rate, Van Lier Nurseries reserves the right to adjust the price accordingly. Royal Van Zanten will invoice the grower directly.
Varieties dependent on availability from Holland. Minimum order of 500 plants, 50 plants per variety.

We require approximately 4-6 weeks to organise the shipment dependent on the availability of the variety. Then the propagation period is 12 weeks. Forward planning is very important.
Planting of 4-5 plants per bed metre and expected production of 200 stems per square metre. Plants are usually kept in for five years.
